Galen Boerema
Galen Boerema has experience in a wide range of general corporate matters including regulatory advice in a
variety of industries, strategic planning, corporate governance issues and succession planning. He focuses his
practice primarily on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures involving strategic and financial buyers and
sellers. He collaborates with other attorneys as well in a number of situations requiring corporate expertise
and experience, including the provision of strategic support in commercial litigation or shareholder disputes.
Prior to launching Boerema Law PLLC, Galen practiced with Schneider Boerema PLLC and Williams Mullen. He also
practiced with Sidley Austin LLP in New York, New York. Before law school, Galen worked with his family
business, a farming operation in eastern North Carolina. Galen received his J.D., with honors, from the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law, where he served as a staff member and editor of the
North Carolina Law Review.
